Dive Site Description
Legend has it that the OGOPGO lurks in the waters around Squally Point. Traditionally, the Okanagan nation would not pass by point without making a small animal sacrifice in return for safe passage. Today the site offers a cavern for the advanced diver to explore.
The dive site is not where the beacon is located. Approximately 100 ft off the point is a cave entrance at 20ft. It’s very important for those without overhead environment training to remain conscious and only explore the entrance area. Take lights and be careful. Squally Point is only assessable by boat; stay clear of the rock walls and watch for south winds. There is an area sheltered from the north winds on the south side of the bay.
