Okanagan Lake: Lake Okanagan Resort Dive Site
Description
This dive site is on the west side of the Okanagan Lake north of the Wilson's Landing dive site. The Resort is a large complex with several hotel buildings. Diving can be done North of the small craft marina on the shore of the resort. Arrange to use the Marina dock for entry/exit. Carry a dive flag! There is a lot of marine traffic near the Marina.
This site is best accessed during months other than during the Summer. A new Marina is being constructed South of the existing marina fuel dock so access is not available until August 2011.
The point North of the Marina is a stepped wall. Divers can find a submerged wreck, an old outboard motor, a a small plastic craft along the wall.
Parking is difficult during the summer and divers plannning to dive this site should contact Lake Okanagan Resort staff prior to diving.
