Dive Site Description
The Otter Bay dive site is located in Ellison Provincial Park, on the east shore of Okanagan Lake just south of Vernon. This site contains many interesting attractions, there is a row boat at about 8m (26ft), a Boston Whaler at about 18m (58ft), and a truck cab at the bottom of a wall at 23m (75 feet). In addition, there is a tugboat wreck, the 'Bobby McKenzie" which lies on a slope between 18m and and 21m (48-68ft). Most of the wrecks are located to the south, near a cleat shaped point.
Access is limited to a few TEMPORARY parking spots at the beachfront. Unload your gear and take vehicles to the top of the hill.
You can either enter the water to the left of the pump house and swim across to the point or walk through the closed gate to the picnic area and then enter the water. Just beyond the rock and towards the point is the rowboat.
