WhatThere is nothing like this lake. Fresh water coral formations called Stromatolites are in abundance. Much if the lake is closed to divers as NASA and the University of British Columbia are studying these unique formations.
It's about a 3 hour trip over to the lake located on Highway 99  North of Cache Creek on Highway 1.
Turn onto highway 99 at the hat Creek Ranch to reach the lake. There is a Provincail Campground about 10 minutes from the lake if you want to spend the weekend there.
The lake is at 2600ft and considered an Altitude Dive so time consideration should be given to off gassing after your dive[s].
It's just under 3 hours to reach the lake from West Kelowna.
